EXERCISE: Find biotite mica, quartz and plagioclase in the bricks. Do the bricks weather easily or are they resistant to weathering? Are the bricks near the sidewalk affected by weathering from salt and splashed water freezing or are they unaffected. Some rocks are really affected near the sidewalk by such weathering.
